Abanse kwemera ubukuru bwawe, urabumvisha ububasha bwawe ; ababuzi na bo iyo bimonogoje, urabatetereza. Ariko, kuko atawokunanira, ubacira uruciye ku ngingo, kandi udutwara utwengenga ; kuko upfa kubishaka, ububasha bwawe bugaca bwibonekeza. Mu kugenza utyo, washatse kwereka igihugu cawe ko umuntu w’intungane ategerezwa kwigenza runtu, atuma abana bawe bizera ko, n’aho bazoba bagucumuyeko, uzobaha uburyo bwo kwisubirako.

From yesterday and today’s reading (Monday and Tuesday of the 15th week in the Ordinary Time), Pharaoh tried to decimate the chosen people by commanding « all his subjects: ‘Throw into the river every boy that is born to the Hebrews’ » (Ex 1:22).The story of young Moses presents him following an unexpected and unconventional path that will eventually brong him to a leadership role in the Hebrew community- doomed as a Hebrew infant, rescued from the Nile and unknowingly returned to his mother by the Pharaoh’s daughter who adopts him, and finally falling from grace for a violent action.Partager

Chers amis,
Pendant ces trois dimanches qui suivront, nous méditerons sept paraboles que Matthieu a groupées dans le troisième grand discours de Jésus. En cette occasion, Jésus se trouve dans un tournant déterminant de son ministère : il se heurte aux difficultés comme nous avons eu l’occasion de le méditer ce dernier dimanche. Il se heurte à l’hostilité directe des chefs religieux qui veulent l’enfermer au sein des discussions de leurs écoles théologiques, ils veulent même le supprimer. En outre, les foules, après l’enthousiasme des débuts de la prédication de Jésus, sont déçues par ce messie qui refuse de passer à l’action politique pour libérer ce peuple du joug des Romains.
